My client has an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a role as an Accounting Manager with a non-profit organization in their Northern VA office. The ideal person selected for the Accounting Manager position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, handling the reporting of the federal grants received, preparing various support schedules, supporting the annual audit, ensuring the non-profit organization complies with regulatory agencies and assisting with other administrative duties as needed. Daily responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include:

· Prepare financial statements.

· Assist with the annual single audit.

· Prepare grant schedules and reports.

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

Requirements

The ideal Accounting Manager we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

· 4+ years of non-profit accounting experience.

· Experience with grants and single audits.

· Knowledge of 501c3 and 501c6.

· CPA, preferred.
