JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description Manufacturing Engineer Ducommun\'s Appleton Performance Center is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, workflow, throughput, space utilization and product quality based on knowledge of product design, materials, parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, capabilities, assembly and quality assurance standards. Job Summary Work with the Customer Value Stream team to ensure on-time delivery of product Develop and procure tooling and jigs Participate in Manufacturing Readiness Review Provide routine technical support to the Operations team Support defect reduction efforts using Statistical Process Controls Support continuous improvement activities to improve manufacturing operations. Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to develop process routing Determine root cause and corrective action of non-conforming product and NCMR in MRB meetings. Complete all Corrective Action Records (CAR\'s) assigned, in a timely manner. Direct supervisory responsibilities are not included in the job scope of the Manufacturing Engineer. That said, a successful ME has leadership skills, the ability to self-direct, and works effectively both independently and interdependently. The ability to influence others is essential. Acceptable attendance is an essential function of the position. Required Skills and Qualifications Fluent in Microsoft Office software applications; experience with Baan ERP, and Catia design package beneficial.
