About the role: Our team in Arden Hills, MN is searching for a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to join their team. This supervisor be responsible for supervising, leading, and providing technical direction to a group of technicians within a manufacturing environment. This individual will devote a significant portion of time contributing to the technical responsibilities of the department, which may include hands on support to maintain those metrics. Your responsibilities will include: Provide guidance and training to staff, developing their team to attain career goals, motivating individuals to achieve results, and recruiting and maintaining a high quality staff. Drive cross training among the technicians Ensure policies and processes are followed Drive visibility to where technical support is needed Maintain and enhance cross-functional team relationships Support development of appropriate staffing and resource plan Assist manager to plan resource needs and hiring for department Manage daily issues manufacturing line Work with manager to establish department goals, objectives, and budgets Successfully complete manufacturing engineering/technician project work on Value Improvement Process (VIP) and Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects Maintain and enhance interdepartmental relationships Ensure quality system policies and processes are followed Required qualifications: 5+ years of manufacturing/operations experience Experience with manufacturing process improvement/production flow tools (i.e. LEAN, DMAIC) Experience with Microsoft Suite Hands-on technical/mechanical experience and aptitude Preferred qualifications: Degree in a related technical area Medical device industry experience People leadership experience in an operations environment, ideally leading technical teams (technicians) Ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the organization Requisition ID:578298 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
