Wayfair Human Resources Associate in Athens, Georgia

<p><em>This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Athens, GA, office 5 days a week - this role is not a virtual / remote position</em></p>

<p>Our best-in-class Talent team is looking for an early career Human Resources professional to help achieve this mission within our Global Service organization. This position will sit at our Athens, GA, Customer Service Office.</p>

<p>Your role will be an influential and integral member of the Talent team, tasked with sharing HR knowledge and guiding stakeholders through policy and procedure to reach employment recommendations. You are considered a key point of reference to support the employee life-cycle at Wayfair, facilitating employee concerns, inquiries, and needs with their managers. Across various levels of operational leadership, you will engage to train leadership roles on the application of Wayfair’s policies and achieve consistency in our practices for culture, safety and performance.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The role requires understanding and driving federal and state/provincial employment laws, to remain compliant under employee labor laws. The ability to analyze employee trends and data will aid in the development of new initiatives and support strategic workstreams within Talent.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Support the corrective action process to include (but not limited to): reviewing documentation related to attendance, work avoidance, general conduct, and performance improvement plans; coaching business leaders on effective documentation; and approving corrective action recommendations, partnering with legal as applicable.</li>

<li>Partner with the Center of Excellence to drive employee resolution for complex Leaves of Absence issues, Benefits Site engagement, ad hoc Compensation changes required, and support of Employee Resource Groups.</li>

<li>Conduct offboarding activities for employees (ie. exit interviews, reviewing separation documentation, separation emails, etc.)</li>

<li>Review and analyze data to identify trends, provide insights and make recommendations to stakeholders and cross-functional partners to improve business results.</li>

<li>Work cross-functionally to drive department specific projects and initiatives.</li>

<li>Support Operations leaders via training of people manager tasks (Workday, SNOW, Payroll, etc.).</li>

<li>Support employee relations, employee engagement activities, and investigations.</li>

<li>Monitor and maintain accuracy of Employee Records using various HRIS systems.</li>

<li>Support new-hire onboarding and performance management and iterate to drive the best experience to fast ramp, assist with programming.</li>

<li>Engage in Talent programming that impacts the business. (ie. Safety Awareness Month, Learning &amp; Development Adherence, etc.)</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>What You'll Need</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>1+ years in a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Generalist role or similar experience</li>

<li>Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills</li>

<li>Demonstrated knowledge of basic HR principles not limited to ADA, FMLA, FLSA.</li>

<li>Technical experience utilizing system applications like Workday (HRIS systems), ServiceNow (ticketing systems), Google Suite, and Visier (analytical data platforms)</li>

<li>Ability to build productive relationships and effectively influence all levels of the organization</li>

<li>Ability to use independent judgment, problem-solve and be creative to drive resolution to unique HR related issues</li>

<li>Ability to analyze, interpret, manipulate data as it relates to the HR function</li>

<li>Comfortable adapting to change in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment</li>

<li>Flexible schedule to support dynamic needs of business</li>
