Strategic Account Manager - Electrical | Atlanta, GA

Direct hire | Full-time | Hybrid

Kelly Engineering is seeking a Strategic Account Manager with an electrical background to join our client’s team which is a global leader in electrical distribution systems in data centers, construction, healthcare, automotive, oil & gas, and textile industries. This person will be responsible for the end-to-end support of one or more strategic accounts, including but not limited to:

Account and Program Management:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the assigned accounts

  • Communicate with multiple internal teams and the customer to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables throughout the project life cycle

  • Work with the project management team to ensure all deliverables and milestones are hit on time

  • Support projects with assigned customers, including owning issue resolution throughout the project

  • Coordinate across multiple internal teams to develop solutions for customer needs and issues

  • Travel to customer and customer-related sites to support the interests of company, including but not limited to strategic meetings and sales calls, training of customer-appointed installation teams, and field support of projects during installation

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of all company products and services above and beyond what is in the catalog

Business Development

  • Promote company products and services at assigned accounts, including making efforts to expand usage of company products and product lines at assigned accounts

  • Assist in new business development as assigned

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • 5-10 years of experience in Sales, Account Management and/or Project Management in a role at an engineering firm (construction industry), electrical contractor, electrical equipment manufacturer, or similar

  • 2+ Years of experience managing strategic accounts

Travel

Approximately 25% for customer visits, manufacturing facility, etc.
