The Research Development Group collaborates closely with our research team, expediting the delivery of new technology and AI models to clients worldwide. Specifically, this team transforms raw research code and ideas into highly performant, scalable, and robust components - the foundation for all our in-house analytical processing.

About the Role

As our Senior Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our expanding research development group. If you're passionate about diving into the details, this position is for you. Our deployments across data centers process over a million hours of audio data daily, making scalability, stability, and performance paramount.

Ideal candidates will have experience in the speech processing domain and a knack for designing systems that can handle extreme scale. You'll lead a team of 6-10 engineers, and your responsibilities will grow along with your expertise and effectiveness.

Some, but not all your responsibilities would include: Assist with the design and architecture of new software while managing the full software development lifecycle Define roadmaps and build schedules for your teams Deliver new algorithms, libraries, reference implementations and tools for innovative capabilities to downstream consumers rapidly and on-time Working as a people manager overseeing development teams or other managers in your organization Hiring, mentoring and retaining top talent Cultivate relationships with Product Management and other stakeholders Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the software development group

Required Skills and Experience Excellent oral and written communication skills BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree At least 10 years in the software development field At least 7 years' of people management experience Experience with containers, orchestration and coding for a cloud environment Knowledge of all aspects of the enterprise software product life cycle - design, build, test, delivery and support Familiarity with Jira, Confluence (or similar ALM) and source control packages and methodology Recent C#, C , Python and/or Java development management experience Experience deploying software on both windows and Linux systems General understanding of computer networking and cloud systems
