JOB DUTIES:

Staff Data Engineer positions available at WarnerMedia Services, LLC in Atlanta, GA.

Create and manage data pipelines to fit the evolving needs of the company, including measurable data quality improvements, designing and implementing data models, and orchestrating data pipelines. Set up monitoring on data pipelines and streams for reliability, cost, and quality controls. Provide technical and business-related support to ensure data platform decisions align with business goals and are compatible with the larger data vision of the organization. Write support playbooks for on-going operational concerns around the data platform. Report on data to provide insight into individual personal preferences across large audiences to deliver custom content. Mentor and teach data technologies related to media specific tooling as well as industry trends across cloud, data, and software matters. Position is fully remote and may be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a minimum of a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or related field, and at least 3 years of experience in the job offered or at least 3 years of experience in software or data engineering. Stated experience must include at least 3 years of experience in the following: building and managing a large volume data processing platform (both streaming and batch); data modeling, ETL and feature engineering; AWS (EMR, Glue, S3, Athena, Batch, Data Pipeline); data and analytics tools, including Snowplow and Snowflake; and stream processing technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink or similar).
