The Starbucks experience starts in our Manufacturing Plants where we have a dedicated team of professionals including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, soluble process, maintenance, engineering, and logistics.

This position contributes to Starbucks success by focusing on OEE improvement of the packaging lines at the Georgia Roasting Plant. This manufacturing plant-based role offers expertise that enables the packaging production lines to run with less downtime and improved quality.

As a packaging process engineer , you will…

  • Develop and implement processes to measure, analyze and improve packaging equipment OEE and communicate prioritization of plant improvement projects.

  • Participate or lead process troubleshooting of packaging equipment issues.

  • Promote and develop strong working relationships. Work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and quality.

  • Collaborate with and coach maintenance, engineering, and operations partners to increase equipment uptime and costs by incorporating new knowledge and technology.

  • Work with suppliers of packaging raw materials to highlight variability and communicate out of specification challenges.

  • Qualify new finished goods product formats.

  • Identify new technologies and solutions to deliver improvements in packaging throughput.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical or industrial) 3 years

  • Experience in consumer products or food company and plant experience, 3 years either technical

  • or production

  • Project management 3 years

  • Supervision, including direct supervision of contractors 1 year

  • Team-building skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

  • Technical leadership, with the ability to coach and mentor team partners
