Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland

Description We are in search of a skilled Administrative Assistant to join our team within the local government sector in Baltimore, Maryland. This role primarily caters to the Office of Client Services under the Guardianship program - Division of Aging and Community Support, Health Dept. The job function will revolve around assisting with inbound and outbound calls, customer service, data entry, and email correspondence. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Addressing and managing inbound and outbound calls

• Providing excellent customer service and assistance

• Carrying out data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency

• Handling email correspondence with professionalism and promptness

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word for various administrative tasks

• Scheduling appointments in a timely and organized manner

• Assisting patients with their needs and inquiries

• Registering patients and managing their records

• Working closely with the assisted living community and engaging in community health initiatives

• Collaborating with the public health sector to ensure the welfare of the community

• Handling front office tasks in a medical setting. Requirements • A minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative role within a local government setting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Experience with data entry tasks and maintaining accurate records

• Demonstrated ability to handle inbound and outbound calls effectively

• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to assist patients and schedule appointments efficiently

• Experience in email correspondence and ability to communicate professionally and clearly in written form

• Familiarity with patient registration and patient registrar duties

• Experience in an assisted living community or similar environment would be advantageous

• Knowledge of community health, public health, and medical front office procedures

• Demonstrated ability to engage with local communities and promote community health initiatives

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization

• High school diploma or equivalent, higher education or relevant certifications are a plus.
