Key Responsibilities

• Leverage existing CTO capabilities to enable thecreation of businesses in new businesses and adjacent areas in CTOOrg​

• Enable CTO-driven programs: Drive new and emerging opportunities (inflections) out of Applied Materials inpartnership with BusinessUnitsand functions to solve high-value problems for thecompany.​

• Enable a pipeline of new programsleveraging India’s eco-system leading to growth programs and potential revenueopportunities​

• Continue to build critical capabilities, skills and infrastructure to drive innovation and path-findingR&D for CTOand the company inidentifiedareas​

• Drive Applied Materials India Strategy by being part of theIndia leadership teamand the single point of contact (as IndiaCTO) tointernal stakeholders and external partners leading technology strategies in Applied MaterialsIndia​

• Build strategic relationships to increase the talent and strategicresearch with key universitiesenabling AMIND/AMAT growth andvision.​

• Drive AMIND tech events and enable platforms for innovation and collaboration toramp up innovation and productsthrough ongoinginitiatives.​

• Collaborate with CTO in other regions, Singapore, etc to drive a pipeline of new programs through discovery, ideation, incubation, andcommercialization​

• Work with government entities onidentifying and securing funding vehiclesto support innovation andcommercialization​

• Seen as athought leaderin the company and the eco-system on global inflections enabling policy directions benefiting AppliedMaterials​

Education: Min: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or Engineering Management​

Experience: 10+ Years in Product Development or Engineering Management​

General : ​

• Experience in the semiconductor or related industry in an R&D setting. Applied experience stronglypreferred​

• Experience taking ideas from the ideation phase through the product using a product life cycleframework​

• Demonstrates broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories, and practices as well as thechanging businessenvironment​

• Applies in-depth knowledge of own segment/function, business, and commercial expertise to differentiate itselffrom thecompetition​

• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in thisrole.​

• Evaluates key business challenges; directs the development of new or innovativesolutions​

• Guided by company strategy and business objectives, impacts results of segment/function​

• Good network in the ecosystem weoperate.​

• Ability to collaborate and influence globalstakeholders​

• Travel: As needed globally. Need to travel/spend time in Bangalore, Mumbai and Singapore as per job rolerequirement​
