Software Development Engineer - Java+AWS

Role Overview:

As a Software Development Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data Protection Group in India, developing cross-platform endpoint applications for Windows and Linux. To be successful in this role you should have exceptional technical skills, communication, and project management skills with multiple years of designing and implementing Enterprise class products along with ability to work in a team toward achieving organizational goals.

In this position, you will be responsible for Database deployment configuration, Scaling and Performance tuning, Database Security, Backup and recovery, Capacity Planning and Cost Management, Data migration, Troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates will foster a culture of innovation while displaying exemplary technical expertise, ownership, and commitment to delivering high quality endpoint security solutions on a variety of desktops. For you to be successful in this role, you need excellent debugging and development skills Java Development, understanding of Windows and Linux internals and experience in building lean agents.

About the Role:

• Design and development of breakthrough multiplatform software Java for securing endpoints on a variety of desktop and cloud platforms

• Gather technical requirements and specifications from customers and business stakeholders and develop technical specifications according to which solutions are defined and delivered.

• Deploy and configure databases in the cloud.

• Automate the deployment and database management process

• Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities. Applying patches.

• Identify and apply DB optimizations for better performance and cost effectiveness

• Develop and test database recovery plans

• Participate in reverse engineering activities for cloud databases

About You:

• 4+ Years of experience in Java Development.

• The ideal candidate will have 7 to 9 years of experience in Software cloud technologies.

• Proficiency in SQL Scripting Language.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experienced Database Administrator in a cloud environment.

• Strong knowledge of cloud database technologies (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud Spanner).

• Knowledge on Apache Tapestry framework.

• Familiarity with security best practices for cloud databases.

• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
