Amazon IN Stores team is looking to hire a strong Technical Program Manager to build for pan Amazon India businesses.

IN Data Engineering & Analytics team, part of IN Stores org, is charted with democratizing data access for the entire marketplace & adding productivity. That translates to owning the processing of every Amazon India transaction and making it available for business analysis, reporting and downstream consumption. The Technical Program Manager will play a key role in contributing to the success of the team, by partnering with respective business owners and leveraging data to identify areas of improvement & optimization. He / She will own UDAI platform and other deliverables that enable business process automation, simplified data access and self-service analytics that provides speed for business decision making AND scales with the business growth. The role sits in the sweet spot between technology and business worlds AND provides opportunity for growth, high business impact and working with seasoned business leaders.

In this role, you will be a technical leader with massive impact. You will work closely with stakeholders, data engineers and internal teams to deliver some of Amazon’s hardest problems, building high quality, architecturally sound systems that are aligned with our business needs. You will define metrics that capture long term success criteria and use data to identify new opportunities. You will regularly communicate with senior management and other stakeholders on status, risks and regularly acquire executive sponsorship for cross team initiatives.

An ideal candidate will be someone with sound technical background in data domain – storage / processing / analytics, has solid business acumen and a strong automation / solution oriented thought process. Will be a self-starter who can start with a business problem and work backwards to conceive & devise best possible solution. Is a great communicator and at ease on partnering with business owners, engineers and other internal / external teams. Is constantly obsessed with business impact / end result and ‘gets it done’ in business time.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

• Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

• Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse & Analytics.
