Google System Engineer, Power and Performance CPU Software in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in Silicon power or performance software development.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management, chip architecture, hardware implementation, and embedded software teams).

  • Experience with software development on silicon platforms characterizing power/performance and thermal.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in Power and Performance software development and optimization in mobile/compute SoC.

  • Experience with Android operating systems or similar operating systems.

  • Experience with software and architectural design decisions on power and thermal behavior of the system (e.g., System/SoC, or IP Power state management, and scheduling, cross-layer policy design).

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

  • Develop software and firmware for ARM Architecture on CPU Power Management.

  • Produce documents for the proposed implementation.

  • Preform software development/validation for Power and Performance features.

  • Lead low-power state management and DVFS Management.
