Google Technical Program Manager, Rating Quality in Bengaluru, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience in Technical Program Management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with PMs, DS, Eng, T/PgMs, and external vendors.

  • Ability to be a team player with exceptional people management skills and solution-oriented thinking.

  • Ability to be comfortable with operating in a high-paced, changing work environment with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks, manage time efficiently, and navigate ambiguity.

  • Ability to be a creative thinker and Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will drive product excellence, quality, and user and ecosystem growth for Search and Assistant with data insights. Deliver actionable insights to inform and influence strategic product decisions across the product life cycle. You will drive decisions for experiments and strategic analysis via innovative metrics and methodologies, experimental infrastructure, and automation of tooling, processes, and insights. You will also build centralized foundations for Google's future analytic needs, starting with a centralized foundation for training data and Machine Learning pipelines.

  • Manage high-visibility projects and programs within Data Science and Engineering, which contribute significantly to the quality of Google Search. Improve this program by working closely with other T/PgMs, Data Scientists, Engineers and many cross-functional partners across Search, both internal and external to Google.

  • Develop and execute the rating quality strategy for a high-priority product, maintain a tight partnership with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.

  • Partner with internal teams to understand, frame, and break down complex data needs, translate those needs into a localized perspective.

  • Own a variety of T/PgM projects involving rating quality tooling and process development/improvement, collaborating cross-functionally with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Engineers, and external vendors that employ raters.

  • Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations, prioritizing effectively within a fast-paced environment.
