Job Summary

As the Process Quality Engineering (PQE) Sr. Manager in ID1, you will be responsible for ensuring quality for wafers manufactured in the Boise ID1 fab. You will build and develop a worldclass team to manage deviations and quality systems and processes for the fab. This position requires collaborating with fab Manufacturing and Process groups as well as Global Quality and other teams to drive a quality of culture and assure fab quality surpasses all requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Fab deviation management

  • Quality Management Systems – FMEA, Documentation, and Excursion

  • Management and coordination of fab audits and incoming quality control.

  • Overall fab contamination control and process contamination management.

  • Fab electrostatic discharge (ESD) compliance.

  • Developing the strategic vision for your team and allocating resources (capital, time, team members) as need to accomplish that vision.

  • Partnering with other fab counterparts and global engineering teams to identify and use global best-known methods.

  • Conduct performance management by creating individual performance targets that have line of sight to department goal and tracking leading indicators.

  • Finish all required safety training and ensure work is conducted in accordance with Micron safety policies while promoting a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or quality.

  • Previous experience in DRAM is preferred. Other memory technology or logic/foundry experience will be considered.

  • Possess a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, including FMEA and 8D

  • Experience with audits and ISO9001/IATF certification standards and requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing and overseeing an engineering team (5+ direct reports)

  • Strong leadership and team building skills.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with other groups to build strong partner relationships and meet customers’ needs.

Education

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
