Insight Global Lab Computer Support Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

An employer is seeking an experienced Lab Computer Support Specialist to join a large biopharmaceutical company. This individual will be responsible providing technical support for laboratory applications, refreshing lab PCs and inventory, maintaining GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GxP (Good Practice) compliance, and ensuring smooth operation of lab PCs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lab computer support, Windows administration, and configuration management.

Responsibilities:

Lab Application Support:

Assist with inventory upgrades and ensure lab applications are up-to-date.

Collaborate with lab personnel to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software and hardware.

Help update and maintain lab-specific information.

GMP and GxP Compliance:

Ensure adherence to GMP and GxP standards.

Control and maintain documentation related to compliance.

Participate in audits and inspections as needed.

Windows and PC Administration:

Manage Windows-based systems and perform routine maintenance.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot lab PCs.

Collaborate with IT teams to address technical challenges.

ServiceNow Configuration Management:

Utilize ServiceNow for incident management, change requests, and configuration management.

Maintain accurate records of lab assets and configurations.

On-Site Support:

Visit lab buildings to refresh and upgrade lab PCs.

Provide hands-on technical assistance to lab staff.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of experience in lab application support and manufacturing support

Strong understanding of GMP and GxP principles

Proficiency in Windows administration and troubleshooting

Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively null
