Toolmaker wanted inside a custom tool shop; they do not make high volumes of any part. They are more of a 1 off job shop. Wage: $27-40(an entry level toolmaker would be in the $25 an hour range, an experience toolmaker can make up to $40 an hour) Regular shift with flexible starting time: 5:30am-10am Entry Level Toolmaker Specific: This skill set is more focused on precision grinding, manual machining, modifying tools, adjusting and precision assembly of tools. Being a toolmaker requires critical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail. There is also opportunity to continue to grow his CNC machining capabilities through VMCs, and Wire EDMs while learning toolmaking. Experienced Toolmaker Specific: Experienced candidates have good/confident knowledge working with Bridgeport, various Grinding Table machines/Sharp Mills, Okamoto & workbench hand tools. ? Understand the tool building processes from specifications such as noted in blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. ? Each tool build or maintenance requirement fall within unique daily requirements; not a repetitive skilled working environment; build tool from reading prints & job tickets. ? Cross-over functional trades/skills, we see individuals whom have been within plastics & mold tooling department shops
