About the role

We are excited to offer a full-time position for a Financial Lines Underwriter specializing in the Cyber division within our vibrant BeLux Financial Lines team based in Brussels.

As a Financial Lines Underwriter, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of accounts in the Financial Lines department, focusing on Cyber Insurance .

• Collaborate closely with the Financial Lines Centre of Excellence to shape the strategy for Cyber , ensuring a profitable portfolio.

• Play a key role in setting and achieving budgeting and financial targets.

• Cultivate client and broker relationships through exceptional service, account monitoring, and renewal of accounts at optimal conditions, including cross-selling with other Financial Lines and AIG products.

• Handle policy issuance and account management efficiently, contributing to the seamless operation of the team.

• Enhance department visibility through engaging broker presentations, broker training, and client meetings.

• Drive growth by analyzing risks, issuing quotes, underwriting assigned risks in Cyber , and developing new products in collaboration with the team.

• Ensure adherence to compliance and underwriting guidelines, setting an exemplary role for other team members.

  Are you the perfect fit for our team? Here i s what we a re looking for:

• A Master's degree in (Applied) Economics or Law, or equivalent experience that showcases your expertise.

• Previous underwriting experience that demonstrates your industry knowledge and skills.

• A strong service-oriented mindset and a collaborative team spirit.

• Analytical prowess and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

• Dedication to delivering high-quality service, getting it right the first time.

• Politeness, empathy, and a helpful demeanor in interactions with both external clients and colleagues.

• Ability to foster a positive and productive team environment that encourages growth and success.

• Resilience in handling stress, with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting by effectively prioritizing tasks.

• Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English to facilitate seamless communication.

• Comfort with standard IT applications like Windows, MS Office, and Outlook, coupled with a quick ability to adapt and learn AIG's specific systems and underwriting tools.
