Senior Principal Software Engineer (.Net)

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be a part of a team in a very fast paced, agile environment that requires strong technical ability, flexibility, sound judgement and creative thinking.  In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with architects, experience designers, product marketers, other software developers and validation engineers to create software solutions for Dell’s products that encompass middleware components, applications, user interfaces and cloud software layers.

You will:

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex Windows application software

  • Write and analyze requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and documentation

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of test strategies for complex software products

  • Develop Proof of Concept implementations

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent Windows development/programming experience in C# (on .NET Framework/.NET Core) and usage of latest design patterns, and emphasis on writing scalable code

  • Experience with application frameworks such as WPF, WinUI 3, etc. and with native and cloud API integrations

  • Strong understanding of hardware architecture and software stack of Windows client systems

  • Experience in building test automation framework and tools

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a positive and proactive attitude, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with Intel and/or AMD system architectures & Experience interfacing with devices, peripherals and firmware

  • Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence) and Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), including threat modeling
