Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant in Cameron Park, California, to work directly with the CFO on crucial tasks. This role involves the examination and preparation of accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports, as well as the establishment and enforcement of proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

• Establish chart of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.

• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

• Review, investigate, reconcile, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial accounts, documents, and reports.

• Utilize modern computer technology to develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.

• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.

• Maintain and examine the records of government agencies.

• Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value, and location of the property.

• Analyze budgetary, business, financial and accounting data.

• Communicate and report information regularly to Director of Finance (CFO).

• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned.

Note: This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Requirements • Proven experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations and maintaining General Ledger.

• Ability to prepare accurate Journal Entries.

• Experience in performing Month End Close procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
