About our Team:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a mature and established software engineering team as a Software Engineer (UI) within the ITTC team, and work in a modern, collaborative, agile development environment to help shape a business-critical software platform that plays a vital role in the success of the organization. You will join a team engaged in delivering web services and applications to the petrochemical and energy industries.

About the Role:

We are looking for a software engineer keen to join a global team composed of in-house and external specialist developers within a fast-paced, highly dynamic group, committed to continuous improvement and adoption of best practices. Build/Manage library of applications, supporting 13,000+ Windows/macOS workstations across a heavily locked-down enterprise. Applications will be managed in Microsoft Intune (for Windows) and Jamf (for macOS).

Responsibilities:

  • Automate the installation and configuration of applications, updates, patches, and fixes.

  • Automate the removal of applications as required.

  • Design, develop, coordinate, and manage application packaging projects.

  • Design and document scripts (PowerShell and VBScript) used to package applications and updates.

  • Work with business users to gather requirements and customize deployment experience.

  • Diagnose deployment issues.

  • Effectively prioritize requests to add new applications to Intune/Jamf or update/remove existing packages.

  • Collaborate with internal software engineering teams.

  • Respond to internal support tickets.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues.

  • Work with internal teams and customers, as well as external vendors as required

  • Participate in development and documentation of departmental processes and best practices.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

. Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in information technology

  • Good to have experience in packaging applications with Intune or Jamf

  • Good knowledge of Windows and/or macOS

  • Good knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy

  • Good knowledge of PowerShell

  • Experience with Intune, App-V Sequencer, Jamf, AdminStudio

  • Experience with VBScript, Bash, Python and other scripting tools and languages.

  • Strong understanding of modern device security

  • Understanding of network topology

  • Understanding of RBAC and scope tags

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

  • Able to be effective as an individual and part of a team

  • BS Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Resolve technical issues as necessary.

  • Keep abreast of new technology developments.

  • All other duties as assigned.
