We are seeking a Construction Field Engineer to join our growing team! The Construction Field Engineer reports to the AR Supervisor, which can be a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or the Director of Transportation Construction Services. In most cases, the Field Engineer will also report to a project-specific Client Supervisor on a day-to-day basis. The Field Engineer will ultimately be responsible for monitoring and documenting the construction activities and progress for a given project to ensure the work is performed in accordance with the project plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting following the agency’s or municipality’s documentation processes (including quantity calculations for payment, field book entry, etc.)
Perform quantity take-offs and estimates requiring the ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
Layout or verify construction layout according to the contract drawings and documents
Assist the project-specific Client Supervisor or other members of the project team with various engineering tasks as needed.
Skills and Experience:
BS in Civil Engineering
0-3 years experience in the field.
EIT certification a plus.
The candidate may be required to obtain additional job-related certifications as necessary.
