Numerator IT Systems Engineer in Chicago, Illinois

This role is based in downtown Chicago and will be 4 days in the office with 1 work from home day. The Systems Administrator will maintain Numerator information systems and related equipment and services including the following: Workstations and peripherals, cloud phone system, desktop software, information backup, and video conferencing systems. Provide support, troubleshooting, and training to internal users. Fulfill other projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain workstation hardware and software

  • Configure printers, scanners, and other pc peripherals

  • Ensure backups are successful and perform restorations as needed

  • Assist users with desktop support

  • Open and maintain Help Desk tickets

  • Follow up with users to ensure issue has been resolved.

  • Gain feedback from users about computer performance.

  • Create and maintain documentation

  • Maintain IT equipment in office common areas and conference rooms

  • Perform software updates, patches, and license monitoring

  • Monitor for and respond to end user security incidents

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7,8,10, 11

  • Knowledge of Mac OS X, Linux, and Microsoft Server a plus.

  • Must have an understanding of Active Directory.

  • Must have basic knowledge of network devices

  • Must have a strong general knowledge of IT systems, security, servers, firewalls, and all things Microsoft

  • Experience with Office 2021, Office 365 is a plus

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hardware & software

  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to self-start, learn quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently

  • Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team

Nice to Haves:

  • Audio/Video Support

  • Azure or AWS Certification

  • An Associate Degree in Computer Science is preferred or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience. Microsoft Certification is a plus.
