EMSL Analytical, Inc. Laboratory Analyst III - Chemistry in Cinnaminson, New Jersey

EMSL is seeking a full time Laboratory Analyst III (Chemistry) in Cinnaminson, NJ. Ideal candidate must have ten years hands on experience in environmental chemistry.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepare and analyze samples to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: air, dust, food, soil, solid, and/or waterFamiliarity with EPA, NIOSH, OSHA, ASTM, USP, and/or AOAC methodologiesUnderstanding of ISO 17025 and NELAC accreditation program requirementsFollow standard operating procedures, quality control procedures, and data validation established for each analytical methodOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical equipment and instrumentsPerform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, performance of volumetric measurements and the utilization of analytical balancesPerform calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtainedBe comfortable in a laboratory setting involving the use laboratory grade acids, solvents and other reagents that require care in use and when handlingRequirements:Bachelors in a chemical or physical science field of studyTen+ years’ experience in a commercial production laboratoryExperience with one or more of the following instruments: ICP, ICP-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, UPLC and/or XRDMust be able to distinguish colors to perform certain analysisMust be able to work in a fast-paced setting, be able to multi-task and prioritize assignmentMust be able to work independently and with a teamMust be concise, organized, and meticulous regarding work assignmentsKnowledge of basic computer skills such Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is requiredFlexibility to work alternate hours and overtime may be required to meet business demandsAvailable Shifts:Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Monday to Friday 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.Tuesday to Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Tuesday to Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.Training schedule to start will be Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.For consideration all candidates must apply through our company website: https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf02/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=EMSL&cws=40&rid=3919EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending accountTo find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.comEOE including Veterans and Disabled
