Salary: $85,000 to $105,000 per year, DOE.

Location: Coeur d’Alene

Primary Duties: Deputy Attorney General will provide legal advice and representation to the Department of Health and Welfare in its Region 1 Coeur d’Alene office with the support of a Legal Assistant. Duties include representation and advice related to child protection, behavioral health, and various social service programs. This position will focus on the litigation needs of the Department in Region 1, (i.e. the First Judicial District consisting of Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, and Shoshone Counties), which includes appearing in contested administrative hearings and state court, as well as other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Duties: Two years of legal experience; strong research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills; active member in good standing of the Idaho State Bar.

Preferred Qualifications: Litigation experience; knowledge of child protection, administrative law; experience representing organizations.
