Corinth Reman/ Large Engine Paint Technician-(3rd shift)

Position Title: Large Engine Paint
Candidate will be prepping, painting, decaling, loading and unloading engines and blocks dependent upon workload at each station. Candidate will be required to mask/seal product per blueprints, to move engines/sub-assemblies to required areas, and meet available demand.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused within the assembly, paint, block-testing and shipping environments.
Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Operator will work in a team environment.
Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility within the job classification scope.
Will be prepping, painting, decaling, loading/unloading engines dependent upon work available
Candidate will operate a computer to enter data and pull blue prints
Operator will load and unload engines from carts, stands, and conveyors using a hoist and/or forklift.
Candidate will be required to interpret engine assembly blue prints and will use Factory Process.
Understand engine assembly practices and torque requirements
Adhere to the 3x3 training matrix and function as a team player.
Engine assembly or disassembly experience is beneficial.
Candidate is expected to understand torque requirements and processes.
Job Bid Eligibility Requirements:
Current agency workers must have worked 90 days for consideration of this position.
Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience.
Experience using electric/pneumatic tools or torque wrenches.
Basic knowledge of standard assembly tools such as hand tools, cordless tools, vibratory tools, etc.
- Basic skills reading and interpreting blueprints
Top Candidates will also have:
1 year or more experience operating a forklift.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel.
- Previous engine assembly or disassembly experience.
- Experience with manufacturing paint processes which include paint prepping & spraying.
Operate hand tools, cordless tools, vibration tools.
Must be able to wear paint suit with supplied air during paint operation.
Must be able to pass a respirator physical.
Must be able to wear bump cap throughout the shift.
Must be able to pass a forklift exam and training.
May be required to lift, push or pull heavy parts multiple times per shift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to work overtime in some cases short notice.
Starting pay: $15.90 per hour paid weekly with an additional $.50 night shift premium.
Work Location: Large Engine Facility in Corinth, MS
