This is a position is for a Patient Financial Advocate

 

Overview: The Archaeological Field Director is responsible for leading and supervising field crews in the completion of archaeological surveys. The Field Director will participate in planning and mobilization of projects, systematic recording of archaeological sites, and preparation of materials for report production following completion of the project.

 

Responsibilities:  Review the hospital census or utilize established referral method to identify self-pay patients consistently throughout the day. Screen those patients that are referred to Firstsource for State, County and/or Federal eligibility assistance programs. Document the results of the screening in the onsite tracking tool and hospital computer system. Face to face screen patients on site as able. Attempts to reach patient by telephone if unable to screen face to face. Outside field work as required to include Patient home visits to screen for eligibility of State, County, and Federal programs.s.

 

Qualifications : High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1 -- 3 years' experience of medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience is preferred. Previous customer service experience preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Must have basic computer skills.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time. Medical screenings and vaccinations are required for this position. Working on holidays or odd hours may be required at times.
