Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer for the quality and productivity improvement department. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations. Summary of Responsibilities: Manage metallurgical processes to manufacture high-quality products with low cost and high yield. Manage trials for the development of new products and processes. Maintain Standard Practices for manufacturing of products (Annealing, Pickling, Cold Reduction). Support Sales / Quality Department order entry processes (RFQ, Spec Review, Capability). Monitor the quality of Coshocton products and processes by spot-checking material, observing processes, and providing feedback to relevant departments. Provide a review of non-conforming or held products and disposition as appropriate. Cross-train to fill vacancies, special coverage needs, and other assignments as they arise. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science or related discipline. Ability to coordinate and execute a multitude of projects with minimal supervision. Data analysis skills necessary for data driven decision making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Flat Rolled Stainless or Carbon Steel processes and products. Experience in Stainless processing, steelmaking, or manufacturing environment.
