Specialist, Global Capital Project Applications - Global CapEx - based in Decatur, IL

This is a full-time, exempt position.

Position Summary:

This role supports the management of the CapEx inventory of tools, templates, applications, and data quality.

The individual(s) will perform analysis of data, system changes, and capabilities to ensure the team’s governance and maintenance of master data aligns with business rules, policies, procedures and controls to effectively satisfy the system requirements of the multiple systems.

These duties are performed applying an understanding of the requirements of ADM’s businesses and operations worldwide. The position will perform operational duties which ensure the data element creation/change processes are accurate, efficient, and comply with all internal controls.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support continuous improvement of Project Software applications to manage documentation and automate processes related to capital projects. Works together with the Capex Process Development & Project Management Manager on the implementation

  • Monitor & support project related systems data quality assurance, focused on elements critical to metric reporting

  • Maintain repository for project documentation to ensure accurate and consistent capital project processes

  • Mentor and provide guidance to project teams on project applications, processes, sub-processes, and tools

  • Support adherence of CapEx/FEL & ADM business rules, policies and procedures as apply to capital projects

  • Support requests for project setup, CapEx system training, system/transaction troubleshooting, security to Capex systems and/or content, etc.

  • Maintain measurement processes and data that support team metrics

  • Manage data quality

Working Conditions:

  • The scope of this position is predominantly computer work in an office environment

  • Ability to travel on both domestic and international trips

Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in project management or master data design/management experience in software development life cycle is ideal

  • Experience and ability to work in multi-cultural and diverse working conditions globally at all levels of the business and its leadership

  • Collaborate with global cross-functional team members and stakeholders

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in the use of structured project management methodologies (i.e., Front End Loading).

  • Advanced knowledge of master data management methodology for application in design, and implementation of CapEx systems. In addition, analysis and maintenance for data quality and hygiene in systems

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)

  • Advanced technical writing skills

  • Knowledge of various data visualization techniques for business and leadership consumption

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in a business or technical field, with a process-improvement focus; advanced degree in business, data management or project management helpful

  • Experience with business process improvement and process mapping

  • Advanced PowerBI, Power Query, &/or PowerApps preferred
