Allied Machine & Engineering CNC Apprentice Toolmaker in Dover, Ohio

Allied is currently looking for an individual to make tooling and fixturing per print specification with guidance from either the master or Journeyman toolmaker.

Requirements

Set-up and operate the following tooling machines:

  • Tooling's vertical machining centers CNC

  • EDM machining center

  • Bridgeport milling machine

  • Surface grinder

  • Program machining centers in the tooling department

  • Complete inspection of all tooling items using; Zoller, Optical comparator, Micrometers, Depth Micrometers, Calipers, Scale, Surface plate and Height stand.

  • Able to do assemblies and bench work.

  • Prioritize work by the scheduling system.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

  • Preferred completion of two years of schooling in an apprenticeship program or on the job experiece.

Skills:

  • Blue print reading, in depth preferred

  • Programming functions preferred

  • Team working skills

  • Problem solving or trouble shooting

  • Self-motivated

  • Organizational

Minimum requirements:

  • Ability to lift 32 lbs.

  • Able to use calipers, micrometers, indicators, scales, and other inspection equipment

  • On your feet for the majority of your shift.
