Sr. Manager, Market Intelligence

Location/Division Specific Information

Remote / Drug Product Division

How will you make an impact?

The purpose of this position is to enable effective decision-making and execution, guided by in-depth market and competitor intelligence, and leading and support of the growth initiatives and strategy generation by the Drug Product Division. This role will generate market, customer and competitor insights and communicate them into the organization in such a way that drives internal change. The position will identify and lead strategic initiatives from these insights. The position will report directly to the Sr. Director, Strategy and provide business support, leadership and analysis to the DPD strategy team.

What will you do?

  • Design, develop, establish, maintain and improve DPD market intelligence processes to measure the performance of DPD relative to key markets, customers and competitors

  • Conduct detailed research and analysis, identifying trends, growth opportunities and threats related to market position and solutions.

  • In-depth and ongoing competitor analysis to understand performance and strategic goals of key competitors and identify areas of vulnerability and strength

  • Lead and research the compilation of market information that enable strategic and tactical plans. Support annual STRAP process and key solution/product planning/lead generation efforts

  • Own market intelligence sources: maintains contacts with key information sources (internal and external) to facilitate effective communication and understanding of information

  • Work closely with business, commercial and marketing leaders

  • Design, prepare and submit monthly /quarterly reports to management in a timely fashion and builds other reports as requested

  • Participate in the assessment and evaluation of opportunities for new services, programs, capabilities and technologies by providing appropriate market research and information required

  • Lead strategic initiatives identified from strategic processes or market research

Experience

  • Able to work with and lead cross-functional and cross-company teams

  • Works well in a matrix environment and makes connections across the division and company

  • Cultivates effective relationships at all levels including with international business partners

  • Experience with distilling large amounts of data into clear summaries of findings and recommendations for business solutions required

  • Ability to balance and lead multiple projects simultaneously, with shown success working within sophisticated, fast-paced environments required

  • Understanding of drug products and/or similar technologies business strategies

  • This position requires the intuition for business to interact with various levels of management

  • Financial modeling experience

  • Candidates need to be comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • The ability to be flexible and balance multiple priorities is required

  • Self-motivated

How will you get here?

Education

  • At minimum, Bachelor degree in Science, Business or related field

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • 3+ years related financial, marketing, or industry experience.

  • High proficiency with crafting, manipulating, and presenting information in a PowerPoint presentation and with creating financial models in Excel required

  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook) required

  • MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project software programs\Phone skills

  • Experience with business case development and leading projects/initiatives

  • Organization and time management skills

  • Public speaking/presentation skills / Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills
