Robert Half is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support local San Diego organizations on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. Position Overview:

As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports.

• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

• Reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Perform account reconciliations and analysis.

• Support the preparation of financial statements and budgets.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company procedures.

• Assist with audits and tax filings as needed.

• Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• CPA or working towards CPA certification is a plus.
