Robert Half HR Generalist in El Paso, Texas

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for an HR Generalist in El Paso, Texas. This role requires you to manage a variety of human resources tasks, including new hire orientations, terminations, and HRMS system administration. You will be part of a team that ensures all HR operations run smoothly and effectively to support the overall business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire recruitment process including new hire orientations and terminations

• Manage employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, transfers, or promotions using HRMS software

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of special surveys for department as needed

• Maintain job codes, salary grades and other relevant data in HRMS

• Prepare and maintain Personnel Change Notices

• Coordinate employee recognition initiatives

• Provide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving any HR-related inquiries or issues

• Prioritize and multitask efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner

• Utilize strong administrative skills to support the HR department

• Operate under pressure, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and organization. Requirements • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role in the Human Resources field

• Demonstrable knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Proficiency in using HRMS and HRMS systems

• Strong experience in conducting New Hire Orientations

• Familiarity with employee termination procedures and best practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information

• Knowledge of labor legislation and its practical application

• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant field

• Proven experience in conflict resolution and employee management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
