Role summary:

We are looking for a Painter (M/F/T) for our Ettlingen site. The main responsibility is the processing of production orders in a timely manner while ensuring the optimal utilization of the available resources at the same time. In this position, you will be expected to meet the quality requirements and comply with all applicable regulations.

Your tasks:

Preparation of the workplace and the workpieces:

  • Switch on the spray booth/suction unit

  • Lock spray guns and select nozzle according to paint sample sheet

  • The parts to be painted are being delivered or are already prepared at the workplace

  • Paint areas according to the specifications

  • Fill up and mix the mixer with primer, paint and other paint components according to specifications

  • Fill the spray gun cup

Priming the parts:

  • Apply primer and set parts aside to dry

  • Inspect and touch up the primer if necessary

Spray painting and testing the parts:

  • Apply the top coat, considering the required surface quality (e.g.: layer thickness)

  • Check parts after drying (e.g.: layer test, layer thickness gauge)

  • If necessary, touch up and prepare for further use

Test and special coatings:

  • In coordination with the customer, carry out paint tests, special coatings or colors on new products with different materials, test alternatives if necessary

  • Document and evaluate the results of the tests

Quality assurance:

  • Monitor and examine the coating formation, spray pattern and hardening after painting

  • Ensure quality standards by analyzing errors systematically, inform other departments about issues and support them if necessary

Maintenance and cleaning work / Miscellaneous:

  • Carry out maintenance and cleaning work as instructed

  • Eliminate minor malfunctions (e.g. cleaning filters, changing nozzles)

  • Keep the workplace tidy and clean

Your profile:

  • Completed 3-year vocational training as an industrial painter

  • Fluency in written and spoken German

  • Flexibility

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Responsible behaviour at the workplace

  • Reliability
