Role Summary
Responsible for all aspects of managing and developing strategic relationships with
Commercial & Professional Foodservice Distributor partners.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Achieve annual sales and profit goals
Manage Distributor relationships at senior levels and develop/execute new business opportunities
Regularly engage with Distributor Sales Reps and monitor overall performance to ensure C&D remains supplier of choice
Utilize end user insights to generate opportunities and close new business
Maintain an active pipeline to meet sales targets
Identify market needs and proposes new products
Conduct contract negotiations with customers
Develop and provide in person and virtual customer training sessions
Create and track all customer promotions
Maintain the C&P customer database through timely and accurate updates
Attend trade shows as needed
Travel up to 60%
Education and Experience
BS in Marketing or related field from an accredited academic institution.
7+ years of sales experience in the Foodservice and/or B2B Industry
Must possess strong knowledge of distribution/re-distribution model
Skills and Competencies
Strong sales skills in value-added selling and branded products
Ability to balance sales and profitability
Experience working with a standard Customer Relationship Management program
Excellent selling skills in one-on-one, as well, as group settings
Computer literate and working knowledge of MS Office.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and takes ownership of assigned projects
Works well independently and as part of a team
Embraces change and technology
Negotiating skills/deal structure development
