Continental Intern - Corporate Accounting, Year-Round in Fairlawn, Ohio

The Central Accounting Intern will participate in various activities to gain exposure to ContiTech Accounting/Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the accounting group as requested

  • Prepare various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual government surveys

  • Administrative maintenance of various tools/systems (Blackline – external account reconciliation tool, CEMS – key contacts by plant, XALERTS – system access validation process, etc.)

  • Aid with various month-end close related tasks

  • Project-based task support related to accounting based on various legal entity and system integration changes

  • Internal and external financial audit support

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a US accredited accounting degree program

  • Enrolled in school for the next 12 months and can dedicate at least 12 months toward this internship

  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours (Mon-Fri)

  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8 or higher

  • Minimum sophomore standing or higher

  • Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills

  • Other Microsoft Office products experience (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)

  • Available to come onsite to Fairlawn, Ohio HQ for three (3) days/week

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Junior or higher class standing

  • Coursework in Information Systems, Business Management, Finance

  • SAP experience

  • Power BI / Tableau experience

  • Prior work experience with accounting / finance

  • Multi-tasking ability

  • Work well with others and drive for results!

  • Able to work 20-25 hours per week during normal business hours (Mon-Fri)

  • Able to work 40 hours per week during summer months (Jun-Jul-Aug)
