ManpowerGroup Quality Assurance Supervisor in Florence, South Carolina

Our client from food manufacturing industry is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate must have worked in USDA environment, HACCP, and someone coming from food manufacturing industry will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Location: Florence SC

Pay Range: 65,000 to $75,000 annually PLUS fulltime benefits.

JOB SUMMARY:

Be able to supervise a team of 5 or more employees and provide feedback to each hourly employee on their performance on a regular basis including evaluations and documentation process.

Be able to provide the employees with everything they need to do their job, i.e. training, tools information, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assure that all products processed, manufactured, and packed meets USDA and client’s quality standards.

Ensure that assigned area is running efficiently, that productivity is high, waste low, down time is minimal, quality is high, product is wholesome and free of foreign objects.

Keep labor costs in line with budget requirements.

Verifies compliance of HACCP, Company, and USDA standards through daily audits and responsible for releasing HACCP.

Must be able to work well with USDA and follow through on USDA concerns.

Verify weight audits by using statistical procedures.

Verify all materials being used in Processing, Production, Packaging and Sanitation are meeting quality standards.

Complete paperwork and make data entries accurately into computer as related to job responsibilities.

Attend training pertaining to job responsibilities provided by the company.

Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Other task as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A.S. or B.S. or equivalent work experience

Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint and ERP/databases used by the company.

Must be able to communicate verbally in English.

Must be able to read and write English.

Must possess extensive knowledge of client and procedures.

Ability to train people using verbal and classroom instruction methods.

Ability to learn HACCP, SPC, SOP’s GMP’s, Sanitation, USDA and quality control procedures and regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
