POINTBANK NA Commercial Loan Officer I / Portfolio Manager in Flower Mound, Texas

COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER / PORTFOLIO MANAGER Solicit, promote, market, and facilitate the overall sale of products of the bank. Contribute to the bank's growth by the effective sale of bank services outside PointBank premises to new and existing customers with emphasis on great, friendly and professional customer service.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPE This position reports directly to the SVP Sr. Lending Officer This position reports indirectly to the SVP Sr Credit Officer

FLSA STATUS This position is classified as Exempt under the Outside Sales Exemption of the FLSA.

OVERVIEW Responsible for servicing and collecting loans and meeting customer needs within the guidelines of Bank policies. Evaluate, service, monitor and administer loan products to commercial businesses; pursue commercial customers to maintain a high quality loan and deposit portfolio; determine collateral values; analyze data for approval within guidelines. Able to recognize and react to cross-selling opportunities, referring customers to appropriate personnel and provide information on a variety of accounts and services. Be involved in local community and events.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Expected to service existing portfolio consisting of $70MM-$100MM, including monitoring loans to ensure proper risk rating and identify any potential problems.
  • Monitor loan maturity report and prepare renewals if needed
  • Monitor past-due loan report and call customer for payment
  • Monitor loan ticklers/exceptions reports and make contact with customers for the collection of new/current financial information.
  • Process and approve loan modification and collateral substitution requests
  • Perform loan monitoring duties for the bank to include:
    • Location and extraction of financial information and loan documentation from the banks document-imaging system.
    • Review the customer's financial information.
  • Through personal marketing and networking efforts, loan officer will target, solicit, secure, and service a variety of real estate and commercial loans outside of PointBank premises to meet personal production and overall bank goals.
  • Approve loans within loan policy guidelines and up to amounts allowed in lending authority limits. Requests in excess of individual lending authority will be presented by loan officer to loan committees for approval.
  • Obtain all required documentation from the customer and perform all credit and underwriting analysis needed to prepare a complete loan request package and/or presentation in accordance with bank policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of loan originations, fee income, and selling of all bank products and services.
  • Verifies loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Daily review, approval and disposition of commercial overdrafts within authority limits.
  • Ensure that approved loans are processed, closed and funded in an expeditious manner.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and/or 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Promote a positive image for PointBank and its employees in the community. Represent the bank out in the community at events, including, but not limited to, chamber of commerce functions, mixers, charity events, golf tournaments, etc. Identify such events where there is the greatest potential to connect with potential commercial customers to develop leads. Follow up on leads with sales calls to potential customers at their place of business.
  • Assist with the professional appearance of the inside and outside of the Branch.
  • Report to the Facilities Manager of any maintenance, landscaping, or housekeeping needs.
  • Attend all meetings and complete all training required to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations and guidance associated with the performance of your job function.
  • Comply with all applicable BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures associated with the performance of your job function, including participation in required training and identifications of suspicious activity.
  • Responsible for making suggestions to improve branch/departmental operations and overall bank.
  • Perform other duties and assignments within the bank at Management's request; accept periodic cross-training.
