Description
LeeTran is seeking to hire professional individuals to join our LeeTran family and make a difference in our community. This is a year-round temporary position with opportunities for full-time and future advancement.
Full medical insurance effective on the first of the month following date of hire

The starting rate is $16.50/hr for candidates without CDL.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work includes the use of tools and equipment, performing general labor, maintenance and/or custodial tasks.
Major responsibility will be maintaining Lee County Transit buses, vans, cars and trucks, to include, but not limited to:
Cleaning and detailing exterior and interior walls, ceilings, seats, windows, floors, compartments, etc.
Collect and empty garbage
Checking and replenishing fuel, coolant, engine oil, brake, transmission, windshield wiper, and power steering fluids
Maintaining accurate mileage and fuel records
Maintaining inventory of supplies
Take appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others, reporting safety issues upon inspection
Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, Licensing
Requires any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent and six months maintenance or closely related experience.
Prefer a CDL Class B license. Training and testing to obtain your CDL will be provided by LeeTran.
Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
This is a safety-sensitive position which is subject to Drug and Alcohol Workplace Testing as provided in DOT regulation CFR-Part 40, 49 CFR Part 655.
Supplemental Information
Ability to operate buses, trolleys, cars, trucks, vans, and forklifts, including at night.
Ability to lift and carry 50-pounds.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Incumbent must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
This is a PM shift and the work hours and days will vary to include weekends and some holidays.
