As our Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

• Continuously driving improvements in process design, layout and operational performance.

• Equipment specification, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, modification and validation.

• Using established problem-solving techniques to address challenging problems in production.

• Technical servicing and maitenance of manufacturing and personalizing equipment.

• Supporting central IT in managing local IT network and interfaces

• Analyzing of process, product, material or equipment specifications and performance.

• Being responsible for calibration and preventative maintenance of production equipment

• Developing technical documentation such as standard operating procedures, safety programmes, validation protocols, technical reports, engineering calculations, change controls and other documentation as required.

• Providing technical leadership to production technicians. Leads technical projects with cross functional teams.

• Evaluating in conjunction with EHS new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact/effect to eliminate or lessen such impacts/effects.

• Supporting transfer of Manufacturing process from other HID sites to Galway.

• International business travel is sometimes required and the candidate must be flexible in this respect.

  What we will love about your background:

• Display a competence in most of the common platform technologies used within automated industry (Pneumatics, hydraulics, PC and PLC control, Vision systems etc.)

• Display flexible, communicative and team-working attributes.

• Be experienced in use of tools and familiar with and open to working hands-on at a technical machine level.

• Previous experience in RFID card manufacturing or secure printing industry a distinct advantage.

  Your Experience and Education include:

• Third level technical qualification in an engineering discipline. Electrical / Mechanical an advantage

• Have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an automated production environment
