Insight Global Patient Services Coordinator in Goodyear, Arizona

Job Description

An oncology provider in Goodyear, AZ is looking to hire a dynamic Patient Services Coordinator to join their exceptional team. You will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors to the clinic in a prompt, courteous and professional manner; check in patients and inform clinical staff of patient arrival. You will be responsible for scheduling and pre-registering new patients for exams and procedures. You will maintain patient records, prepare forms, verify information, and resolve routine and non-routine problems. You will follow standard procedures and pre-established guidelines to complete tasks. You will answer all incoming calls and ask appropriate questions to assess patients' needs. You will provide patients with appointment details such as time, location, directions, and instructions, as well as record call statistics in New Patient Log. You will maintain and update physician schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly. You will obtain patient demographic, insurance, and other pre-visit required information. You will enter patient information into computer systems and verify patient insurance eligibility and benefit coverage/ co-pays with the payer; verify pre-authorizations are completed before patient visits. You will also be responsible for mailing or emailing the patient appropriate medical forms for completion before the first visit and proactively following up with the patient on missing or outdated information, as well as copies of medical records and test results from other providers.

Skills and Requirements

-High School Diploma

-Minimum one year of medical receptionist or pre-service coordinator experience

-Experience answering incoming calls, scheduling new patient appointments, and speaking with appropriate providers

-Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and be able to multi-task

-Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft (Outlook, Office Word, Excel) -Oncology or Radiology Experience null
