Corewell Health Senior Project Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job SummaryUnder general supervision of facilities leadership, is responsible for the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of major programs and /or projects. Acts as a change agent to create and support a positive change process. Leads, monitors, and maintains the facilities improvement project roadmap. Manages the system aesthetic conditions assessments reporting. Maintains an active 5-year facilities portfolio roadmap. Works cross collaborative with Real Estate, Planning Design and Construction, Facilities Operations, and executive leadership.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees medium to large sized, multi-faceted projects varying in complexity and involving cross functional experts. These projects could be system-wide.

  • Drives progress of the project including overseeing the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation

  • Manages work plan, scope and aids in assessment of resource requirements in order to achieve desired outcomes and directs re-engineering efforts.

  • Ensure that the project is achieving the expected business outcomes.

  • Analyzes and documents, processes, procedures and outcomes to seek continuous improvement.

  • Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a consultant to key stakeholders/business partners / executive level leadership in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources. Acts as a mentor to others.

  • Participates on committees/task forces as member, consultant and/or chair. Develops and leads teams which are larger in scope.

  • Acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management

  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solution of significant issues and develops recommendation for leadership consideration.

  • Competent to work all phases of the project with executive level leadership. Provides guidance, direction and training to less experienced Project Specialists.

  • Maintain and creates/presents presentations of the facilities roadmap, facilities improvement program

  • Ability to influence Sr. leadership to review and support program requirements.

    Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

  • 5 years of relevant experience

  • 2 years of previous leadership/ management experience
