Our client is adding an experienced Attorney to join its team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, the Attorney will conduct real estate closings according to South Carolina law, supervise the preparation of real estate loans/closings, and maintain communication with closing agents and clients. You will also review title work, write title policies, and draft legal documents necessary for closings.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting real estate closings in accordance with South Carolina law

• Supervising the preparation of real estate closing documentation

• Maintaining open communication with closing agents and clients, addressing any questions or concerns

• Reviewing approved title commitments and ensuring title work is clear of liens, judgments, and encroachments

• Reviewing lender documents and explaining terms and conditions to clients, responding to client inquiries

• Drafting legal documents as needed in preparation for closings

• Ensuring closing statements are balanced and funds are disbursed

Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of Real Estate Law and related legal regulations.

• Experience in managing real estate closing processes is a must.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound legal assessments and judgments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and court appearances.

• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously.

• Licensed to practice law South Carolina.

• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet strict deadlines.
