Google Group Product Marketing Manager, Devices and Services in Gurugram, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 9 years of experience in marketing, working across one or more marketing fields (i.e. growth, product marketing, brand marketing, social).

  • 5 years of experience with people management.

  • Leadership experience in Business-to-Consumer marketing, leading teams to deliver results in cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with smartphone/electronic goods/leading marketing for premium categories with large online and offline retail presence.

  • Understanding of Google’s competitive position, and demonstrated capacity for determining the optimal way to position products in the market and how to use media to achieve desired results.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with geographically dispersed teams to achieve shared goals and targets.

  • Ability to take initiative, provide breakthrough strategy, and function effectively in highly dynamic environments.

  • Ability to drive impact through Go-To-Market campaigns.

  • Inspirational people leader with the ability to build diverse and inclusive teams, attract, and retain talent.

As Group Product Marketing Manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader shaping the future of the Pixel portfolio and Google's other devices and services business in India.With India as one of the world’s largest and fastest growing premium smartphone market, the expectation from the role will be to craft the right strategy for Pixel’s presence in India, work closely with other functional leaders, ensure business success, and land Pixel as a loved and desired brand for the Indian smartphone users. You will lead a team to craft and implement the Pixel Go-To-Market strategy, brand proposition for Indian users, and all communication across media, retail, and with partners. You will also work closely with Regional and Global Marketing teams to influence product strategy locally, regionally, and globally.

  • Lead a team of individuals, set, and communicate individual and team priorities that support organizational goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.

  • Create, review, or approve marketing content to ensure that positioning of the product is aligned with the product strategy, iterate the content and design along with cross-functional or cross-regional teams based on content standards, styles and format, and collaborate with the production team to publish the marketing content.

  • Identify research needs, scope, manage, or guide user research by leveraging internal and external research partners.

  • Participate in or lead the meetings to develop marketing plans for regional or functional marketing teams, review the overall portfolio and characteristics, prioritize marketing goals, and develop positioning plans to identify and engage audiences.
