Hajoca Corporation Warehouse Employee - 6470 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi

This is a job for a Warehouse Employee position with a company located in Hattiesburg, MS.

Duties: Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material. Stock and maintain the warehouse; and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure. Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle. Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations. Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier. Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely. Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels. Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues. Assist co-workers in servicing customers.

Qualifications: At least 18 years old; or at least 21 years old if operating a commercial motor vehicle (GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more). High school diploma or equivalent. A driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy. Must pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work; to be updated at least every two years while employed and performing this job function. 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience. Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.

Peferred Qualifications: Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills. Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center. Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment. Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center. Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations. Read, write, speak, and understand English. Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
