About the Role

The financial analyst position provides financial support for the Magna Mirrors organization.

The position is responsible for accounting for inventory (all aspects) as well as supporting the Assistant Controller with sales forecast system, including:

  • Administration and maintenance of the excel-based system.

  • Providing standard and ad-hoc reporting as required to support organization.

Your Responsibilities

This position will also perform various analytical and reporting activities:

  • Accounting for and analysis of MOH Spend, including daily and ad-hoc reporting as required.

  • Working with operations to ensure accurate reporting of the weekly and monthly DL and Scrap variances to Corporate such as reconciling internally generated results to the GL, providing guidance on rate assumptions changes, etc.

  • Assistance with general ledger and month end close activities.

  • Providing assistance as required to support the various forecasting requirements such as weekly quick-sales estimates, quarterly forecast and annual planning processes.

Who we are looking for

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to interact with and lead individuals from all segments of the organization.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting, with minimum 5 years’ experience in related field

  • Proficient in use of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems. Must have ability to develop, maintain and manipulate complex spreadsheet

  • Experience with Baan, Hyperion and/or database administration a definite plus
