Job Summary:

Provide and execute on the vision and strategy; provide S&OP and Revenue FP&A leadership and direction. Deliver a Demand-based sales forecast for all LatAm portfolio enabling maximum customer service level and resource utilization. Triangulates Sell Out – SIT – Sell In data with all available Market data to challenge the business and improve the forecast and monitor for ACTs. Support the business to understand underlying revenue performance and actively participate in decision making and execution. Work cross-functionally to achieve organization goals securing the needed supply to satisfy demand while optimizing inventories. Lead and develop the team. Direct supervision over 3 Head Counts (grades 18, 16, 16), Indirect over all LatAm Affiliates Demand Planning and influence over FP&A Commercial.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting critical components of monthly S&OP processes including but not limited to Consensus forecast, cross-functional assumption alignment and management review presentations.

  • Regularly perform sales forecast and influence those outside of direct control, resolving conflicts across the functions.

  • Work cross functionally to achieve organizational goals and coordinate with GMs / Commercial Mgmt. to develop product lifecycle and transition strategies for new products and flexible strategies to accommodate uncertainty.

  • Develop and align organization around standard set of procedures and drive adherence to accountability.

  • Ability to perform as PMO. Support project teams to ensure project success.

  • Generate predictable forecast for maximum benefit for resource allocation, capital utilization and investment decisions, including but not limited to: Ability to dependably manage inventory tightly, reduce distressed inventory and assess staffing requirements.

  • Monitor and recommend modifications to service metrics and safety stock levels.

  • Responsible for communicating product supply including decisions to reposition inventory throughout the world to minimize customer backorders. Develop and implement contingency plans in response to unexpected changes in demand/supply, provides timely assessment updates and formulate solutions.

  • Interpret ambiguous data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations.

  • Gather market insights to challenge sales assumptions and perform constant triangulation of sell out, stock in trade and sell in to validate financials planning assumptions.

  • Responsible for Revenue FP&A, leading the effort to understand sales underlying performance and supports the action generation for acceleration.

  • Engage in initiatives to improve Standard Margin profile through the optimization of supply allocation by looking into options to maximize sales in profitable channel and customers.

  • Support the business with price strategy and gross to net optimization and lead sku pruning efforts to accelerate sales, improve margins and reduce complexity.

  • Supports the Controller EPD LatAm with sales positioning communication for Senior Mgmt. and Abbott Executives helping the team to brand the region and clearly articulate the sales strategy and action.

  • Leads the region to improve Stock In Trade data availability, analysis and reporting and builds capabilities across the region to ensure that such data is being used for To Market Sales Planning.

  • Partners with Business Intelligence for 5 Factors Analysis (IMS, TMS, SIT, Market and Investment).

  • Responsible for area PMO, ie Class A roll out, Continues Improvement and Simplicity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or engineering. Post graduate studies is ideal.

  • 10+ years of related experience, ideal candidate would have experience in both Region-Global Finance and Affiliate-Region or Global Demand Planning.

  • Ability or aptitude to evaluate problems that are complex in scope and where analysis of processes, situations and/or data involve multiple competing factors and to provide risk-based contingency plans.

  • Ability to establish strategic direction and lead change; ability to lead and influence with and without direct authority.

  • Ability to confront and resolve conflict and lead efforts to resolve critical situations.

  • Ability to convey communications clearly, concisely, and accurately.

  • Ability to summarize and present recommendations and solutions to the Region Management team.

  • Ability to develop interpersonal and professional relations; displays socially and professionally appropriate behavior.

  • Ability to work independently and in groups and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software.

  • Demonstrate FP&A capabilities including value generation.

  • Ability to translate insights into forecast and decision making and to collaborate with Business Intelligence group.

The base pay for this position is $125,300.00 – $250,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
