Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine business is anewly established end-to-end business with responsibility for design, manufacturing, sales, services, product support and distribution of gas compression, well servicing, production drilling and Marine products. As the Lead HR Manager of the Oil &Gas and Marine Division, you will be responsible for leadership, development, counsel, and support of all strategic human resource needs and initiatives of the division. The role is a critical business partner to the Vice President who in turn supports the Energy and Transportation Group President of Caterpillar Inc.The Lead HR Manager will be establishing, leading and executing the HR and culture strategy in support of the business strategy. As this is a newly established division, the Lead HR Manager will be responsible for creating the global people strategy including building the new HR team, defining the communications and engagement strategy, strengthening leadership capability and establishing the process, policies and foundational culture and identity of the organization to enable business growth and customer success.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

\

  • Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource functions for client groups including: organization development, strategic workforce planning, employee relations, talent and pipeline development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and strategic communications for key partners, including the executive leadership team

\

  • Partner with business leaders to attract, assess, develop and retain critical talent

\

  • Coach and guide leaders to build leadership capability with emphasis on creating, engaging, rewarding and recognizing high performing teams

\

  • Manage global employee relations strategies to support the business objectives and deliver a meaningful employee experience

\

  • Implement HR initiatives and programs and participate in related global HR forums

\

  • Provide leadership to mergers and acquisitions activities, including direct support of any required integration opportunities

\

  • Lead the implementation of the Safety Recipe developing implementation plans and supporting processes to enable safe work environments

\

  • Develop talent acquisition and capability strategies to support business initiatives by aligning talent and allocating resources, resulting in a high performance, recognition-based culture

\

  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and build external partnerships to conduct benchmarking and best practice sharing to proactively shape and refine the People strategy

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

\

  • A college or university degree in addition to 10 years of HR experience, with significant generalist experience supporting global P&L
