Practical Energetics Research, LLC ENG038 Engineering Intern in HUNTSVILLE, Alabama
Summary PER is searching for an Engineering Intern for the summer of 2024. This is a temporary position from May through August working 20-40 hours per week. The Engineering Intern will assist in preparing and analyzing, plans, specifications, tests, and products under general supervision.
Primary Responsibilities ? Research, mechanical design, warhead design, development and test, and system performance. ? Utilize skills in material properties, aerodynamics, and computer modeling and simulations. ? Use software tools such as SolidWorks, CTH, ALE3D, and CREO to build and evaluate design concepts and support additive manufacturing of components to evaluate fit and function. ? Opportunities to develop software code to support analysis and test evaluation of components and systems.
Education and Other Requirements ? Must be a current student in good standing.
Desired Qualifications ? Practical knowledge of basic engineering practices. ? Experience with Python or C++ ? Hands on experience with additive manufacturing methods
