An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes, or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high-quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations.7+ years of experience in PeopleSoft implementations, Upgrades, Migrations, Run, and Maintenance with 3+ years of experience relevant to Cloud Implementations including 1-2 years of consulting experience preferred.

You will be working along with the Leads/PMs, to understand customer goals/requirements, expectations, and challenges, analyze situations/data, for configuring or develop business & technical solutions on the Cloud. You will advise project managers & other partners from time to time on the implementation aspects of the project. You will be responsible for the overall delivery quality on the project by ensuring the team’s alignment to standard practices and procedures. Build an understanding of and demonstrate Oracle methodologies, tools, and leading practices.

BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Principal Consultant who will be responsible for deploying and supporting cloud services for PeopleSoft Services. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years on PeopleSoft implementation, migrations, and upgrades with a minimum 3 years of experience with cloud administration on different cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, AZURE). OCI certification is mandatory

Responsibilities include

  • Lead projects for PeopleSoft Implementations/Migrations/Upgrade

  • Implement and operate a modern, scalable, cloud-based infrastructure

  • Installation, administration, security, and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting the PeopleSoft applications, including web servers, database servers, application servers, process scheduler, report servers, and file servers in Windows and Unix (oracle, Linux)

  • Evaluate, respond to, and resolve service issues with application middleware, database, etc. and recommends/apply solutions such as configuration changes to O/S, WebLogic, PeopleSoft, Tuxedo or additional hardware, memory, CPUs, etc.;

  • Add and update document standards for architecture and configuration as well as day-to-day operational procedures and protocols

  • Good knowledge of PeopleSoft system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning

  • Proactively researches available and future releases of People Tools and recommends improvements/use of appropriate solutions/tools/security to the application group

  • Willing to work in a 24/7 on-call capacity, working evenings and/or weekends as needed.

  • Periodic testing of fail-over of server, database, etc. and participation in Disaster Recovery testings and validations

Possess a strong customer focus and ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the IT/Customer groups

  • Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration

  • Contribute to incident root cause analysis, with enough knowledge to lead discussions and drive tangible improvements

  • Work with peers inside and outside the team to promote and expand automation of operational tasks

  • Develop enablement plans to transfer knowledge on best practices to install, configure and manage OCI services.

  • Deploy patches and upgrades, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as required.

  • Experience in hybrid cloud environments

  • Experience on PeopleSoft Admin tasks and Database Admin (DBCS) on OCI environments

  • Experience on PeopleTools upgrade PT 8.56 to PT 8.59, PeopleTools patching, Tech stack Patching on latest PeopleTools 8.59

  • Experience with CPU patching, PUM patching, Tax Updates

  • Experience Oracle database migrations, backups setup, and recovery

  • Experience in PeopleSoft Provisioning using PeopleSoft Cloud Manager

  • Experience in doing Database Upgrades, Cloning, and Refreshing on PeopleSoft environments.

  • Be the subject matter expert on infrastructure elements in the cloud. For example:

  1. Compute(IAAS)

  2. Storage

  3. Networking (Firewalls, Load Balancing Solutions, etc.)

  4. Database(DBaaS ,ExaCS, Autonomous Database)

  5. Supporting Services such as Elastic Search, Kibana

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Cloud Administrator

  • Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Cloud (OCI, AWS or AZURE)

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
